Fortuna is seeking an Outreach Specialist to support awareness and engagement for a national behavioral health program serving military and veteran populations. This role involves public-facing outreach, communications, and travel to promote program visibility at events and partner sites.
This position is part of a proposal response and is contingent upon contract award, anticipated in October 2025.
WORKSITE: Remote with frequent travel to events, military bases, and DHA HQ (Falls Church, VA)
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, includes travel days and occasional weekend events
PAY RATE: $35.00 -$39.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Develop and execute outreach campaigns to raise program awareness
• Represent the program at conferences, VA facilities, and military installations
• Prepare and distribute outreach materials and briefing documents
• Coordinate with internal teams to align messaging and strategy
• Attend monthly on-site meetings at DHA HQ (as needed)
• Complete post-event after-action reports and maintain outreach records
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing, PR, or communications
• 2+ years of experience in programmatic outreach and campaign execution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must pass Tier 1 background investigation (SF-85)
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (citizenship not required).
