We are seeking a QA Tester to join our team, responsible for ensuring the functionality, reliability, and quality of web applications. The QA Tester will perform essential testing tasks, including functional, regression, deployment, and browser testing. This role involves analyzing business requirements, developing test strategies, creating test plans, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure web applications meet the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a solid technical background, familiarity with multiple testing methodologies, and a keen eye for detail. They must be adept at balancing priorities and communicating effectively across diverse teams. A strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and web standards is essential, as is the ability to manage competing deadlines and support a dynamic development environment.
WORKSITE: 1 Ashburton Place, Boston, MA
- Potential to revert to full-time onsite (5 days per week) as determined by management.
WORK SCHEDULE:
6-week orientation onsite, 5 days per week
Hybrid schedule after orientation, minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
Restricted time-off periods may apply during critical support times, with potential evening and weekend work.
PAY RATE: $50/hour
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable test cases and plans.
Define, implement, and maintain universal standards-based test strategies.
Execute test plans, including functional, regression, integration, and deployment tests, across various browsers and devices.
Document and report test results, track metrics, and ensure all activities follow testing processes.
Review and update regression test plans to reflect enhancements, bug fixes, and updates.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
Perform accessibility testing to ensure compliance with web standards and guidelines.
Manage issue tracking software and oversee the resolution of reported defects.
Participate in release readiness reviews and production releases.
Mentor and coach team members on quality assurance best practices.
Proactively identify workflow inefficiencies and implement improvement plans.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience in Windows and Mac environments.
Experience testing websites on modern browsers and devices.
Proficiency in multiple testing methodologies, including manual, automated, and performance testing.
Understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies and QA best practices.
Knowledge of accessibility-compliant web standards and tools.
Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., UiPath) is a plus.
Knowledge of C# and SQL is a plus.
Experience with version control systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
