Fortuna is seeking Senior GIS Developers / System Administrators to support our client's enterprise GIS team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced GIS professionals who combine strong development expertise with full system administration skills. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical GIS solutions that support informed decision-making and operational effectiveness. US Citizen or Green Card Holder
WORKSITE:
Remote (Teleworker) – Must be physically located within the United States
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, Monday–Friday (aligned to Pacific Time Zone)
PAY RATE:
$60.00 - $65.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Customize and extend the VertiGIS Studio / Geocortex suite to meet business needs
Design and develop .NET web applications that integrate with GIS platforms
Build automation tools and integrations using Python and PowerShell
Administer and support the ESRI ArcGIS platform (Enterprise, Pro)
Manage configurations, upgrades, patches, and SSL certificates for GIS systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure reliable system performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver GIS solutions
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Required:
5+ years of experience in GIS development with strong ESRI expertise
Proficiency in .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) web application development
Hands-on experience with VertiGIS Studio / Geocortex
Strong system administration skills, including patching, upgrades, and SSL management
Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
Experience working in government or large enterprise GIS environments
Knowledge of cloud-based GIS deployments (AWS preferred)
Familiarity with ITIL practices and SLA-driven environments
