The Advisor Application Designer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting complex database and application software-including server, client, and web components. This role contributes to the design and delivery of technical architecture solutions and leads development teams in creating reusable, scalable design components. The ideal candidate is an experienced application architect or senior developer who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring peers, and delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.
This is a contract position with the client looking to convert to full-time in early 2026.

PAY RATE:
$63.00 -$66.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design, develop, install, test, and document complex database and application software (server, client, and web components).
Lead development teams in providing flexible, reusable components to improve cost effectiveness and scalability.
Create and translate complex design documents into component-level designs that accelerate development cycles.
Analyze, design, and review application architecture to ensure specifications meet customer and business requirements.
Oversee coordination between application architects and developers to ensure aligned product delivery.
Lead and mentor senior designers in defining accurate and relevant design requirements.
Review and evaluate tools, frameworks, and methodologies to maintain compliance with current industry and company standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and integration/deployment materials.
Conduct business process work sessions, project meetings, and JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions.
Function as a domain expert, collaborating with developers to ensure high-quality application design and performance.
Perform cost analysis and feasibility studies to determine the most effective solution paths.
Provide technical consulting, leadership, and mentoring to less experienced team members.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
9+ years of experience in product design and application development.
Strong background in software design, SDLC, development methodologies, and implementation best practices.
Expertise in system design principles, programming languages, and relevant operating systems.
Experience with company-level software and hardware systems, and awareness of related business impacts.
Proven experience performing feasibility and cost analyses for complex systems.
Strong analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills across multiple products or domains.
Excellent communication skills with developers, customers, and management.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to guide development teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
