According to an article in the New York Times, A large portion of American military veterans are underemployed. After their service, they usually find employment that does not match the skills they have acquired through advanced training in the military. SkillStorm works towards solving this. Fortuna BMC is partnering with SkillStorm because as a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business small business (SDVOSB), it is important to us that we support our veteran community. But how exactly does SkillStorm help veterans?

This program makes transitioning from a military environment into a tech-related career easier with the help of SkillStorm.
SkillStorm offers a variety of programs for veterans. It provides veterans an opportunity to hone their skills in technology, regardless of experience. One program they have is the IT Apprenticeship Program. This 36-month program includes topics ranging from basic computer usage through software engineering fundamentals. Those who successfully complete the program receive extensive information, experience, qualifications, as well as certification.
