The Senior Cloud Engineer designs, develops, and supports cloud-based solutions across complex enterprise environments. You will partner with internal teams and customers to implement cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, define standards, and ensure cloud services meet business requirements. The engineer contributes to solution design while delivering hands-on configuration, testing, and optimization of cloud platforms and applications.
US Citizenship or Green Card required. One-year contract and must be local to Gold River, CA

Monday–Friday, flexible based on project needs
May require occasional shift or weekend work
Pay Rate
Up to $63.00 per hour (W2)

What You'll Do
Design, develop, and implement complex cloud-based solutions
Contribute to cloud solution architecture in partnership with senior staff
Configure cloud platforms, tools, and integration components
Review and revise solution designs based on stakeholder feedback
Develop deployment policies, technical specifications, and solution blueprints
Build and maintain automated tools, scripts, and capabilities for cloud deployments
Create automated functional and integration tests for deployed solutions
Troubleshoot cloud services, infrastructure, and application components
Utilize cloud technologies, programming languages, scripting tools, and third-party utilities
Support enterprise-wide tool deployments in large, complex environments
Provide work guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
What You'll Bring
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
9+ years of experience in cloud engineering, solutions development, or related technical work
Experience with cloud platforms, scripting, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure
Experience architecting, documenting, configuring, and troubleshooting complex solutions
Experience with enterprise-wide tools and technologies in large organizations
Hands-on experience with tools such as vCenter Operations, EMC Virtual Storage Integrator, Zenoss, and Spectrum
Knowledge of network protocols and platforms (e.g., DNS, BMC, Oracle)
Experience working with Catalyst or similar vendor/customer technologies
Other Qualifications
Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams
Excellent problem-solving, creative thinking, and planning abilities
Effective time-management and multitasking skills
Ability to build and maintain professional networks
Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to travel as needed
